It’s kind of a Marketing Music label night at Chez Moune – brothel-turn-club in Pigalle area in Paris – this friday, where label boss Tim Paris will meet recording artist DC Salas of Polar fame in an intimate atmosphere.

Fellow Brussels City residents Thomas Sari & DC Salas met as equal sound & music enthusiasts in 2010 while hanging out in the backyard of a local dance club. A union was born of that evening that birthed a quality collaboration. “Polar” is all about the balance of complimentary sounds, the celebratory stasis of where old school groove meets new school electronic structure, a marriage that creates a very special and fulfilling rhythm. “Polar” is an audible product of inspiration & multiple enigmatic influences. Following Jullian Gomes, Anonym and Ewan Pearson, Tim Paris offers again an exciting up & coming act completed by some tasty remixes for the new Marketing Music release.

Meet Polar, a belgian production and djing duo formed by DC Salas and Thomas Sari who already made some waves on labels like Doctor Vinyl or Toys For Boys. They contributed the two original tracks on the EP : “Merge” and “Dusty Vodoo“. On the remix front, Kill The Dj member and brand new Bpitch Control recording artist Chloe takes the already dark and bass heavy “Merge” into even darker territory while Tim Paris and singer Allonymous bring “Dusty Vodoo” on a completely different level, adding to the original groove haunting vocals and synths. The EP closes with a vocal free version of Tim’s remix.
