Fellow Brussels City residents Thomas Sari & DC Salas met as equal sound & music enthusiasts in 2010 while hanging out in the backyard of a local dance club. A union was born of that evening that birthed a quality collaboration. “Polar” is all about the balance of complimentary sounds, the celebratory stasis of where old school groove meets new school electronic structure, a marriage that creates a very special and fulfilling rhythm. “Polar” is an audible product of inspiration & multiple enigmatic influences. Joined as mutually ignited sound science freaks, these two have been enjoying and creating funkin’ loud fun since day one, in the lab and in the club, as you can hear with this podcast and their forthcoming EP for Marketing Music.

Five Days is the new single from Idioma, a band that have already impressed a couple of years ago with their debut single Landscapes on Marketing Music. Outerwear clothing brand Carhartt and video director Alexander Basile were so impressed by the demo of “Five Days” that they asked the band to use the track from the 2011 Carhartt online advertisement campaign and they did as a bonus this atmospheric music video featuring the track in full. Five Days will be included in the forthcoming album by Idioma set to be released end of 2012 on Marketing Music.

Vogue video report : Fashion designer Yiqing Yin featuring music from Tim Paris and Idioma

Up & coming fashion designer Yiqing Yin had been followed by the cameras of Vogue french website, from the finishing touches to the backstage of her debut fashion show at La Maison de l’Architecture in Paris. Music wise, the video features the Tim Paris classic “Ame Agaru” and Idioma‘s unreleased track “Dream On” taken from their forthcoming debut album on Marketing Music.

Following Jullian Gomes, Anonym and Ewan Pearson, Tim Paris offers again an exciting up & coming act completed by some tasty remixes for the new Marketing Music release. Meet Polar, a belgian production and djing duo formed by DC Salas and Thomas Sari who already made some waves on labels like Doctor Vinyl or Toys For Boys. They contributed the two original tracks on the EP : “Merge” and “Dusty Vodoo“. On the remix front, Kill The Dj member and brand new Bpitch Control recording artist Chloe takes the already dark and bass heavy “Merge” into even darker territory while Tim Paris and singer Allonymous bring “Dusty Vodoo” on a completely different level, adding to the original groove haunting vocals and synths. The EP closes with a vocal free version of Tim’s remix.

Tim Paris discovered Uriah Klapter a few months back when he played right before him at a party in Tel Aviv with It’s A Fine Line. This young Tel Aviv based dj, raised in a musical family (his father being a well know guitarist in Israel), is currently causing quite some stir in his home country thanks to his broad musical tastes and natural dj instincts as showcased in this dj set for the Marketing Music podcast series.
